However, the newspaper doesn\u2019t comply with EU data protection regulations.<\/p>\n<p>They are offering three options, but only one out of those three options allows you to switch off tracking and cookies, and the same is the most expensive one costs $9 a month.<\/p>\n<p>The other two are free for a limited number of articles or $6 a month for an unlimited number. They are demanding the readers about <strong>illegal <a href=\"https:\/\/seersco.com\/articles\/articles\/gdpr-cookie-consent-banner\/\">cookie consent<\/a> under GDPR<\/strong>; and consent for tracking any third-party ads.<\/p>\n<p>Going through this procedure of consent the privacy activists are fretting. Because they can say whether they meet the requirements for consent as per EU data protection laws.<\/p>\n<p>The Information Commissioner&#8217;s Office reviewed the policies by Washington Post.
