Our fast growing company is looking for a Legal Assistant to join our expanding legal team. Our company boasts a bustling and vibrant team with fantastic employee feedback across the board, as well as a great working environment.

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide professional support to the in-house legal team, primarily in relation to EU and UK data privacy laws and regulations plus online data protection and compliance. From time to time, you will also provide general legal advice.

The successful candidate will be involved with researching and advising ongoing data privacy laws including the GDPR as well as providing factual and expert advice. You will undertake research into data privacy issues and assist in case planning and drafting of instructions. Importantly you will monitor online enquiries and dashboards and understand the context and content to enable prioritisation.  In addition, identify issues that can be actioned and those that need escalating to a Senior Legal Adviser. This role will also see you correspond directly with members, experts and other third parties when necessary.

Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate investigative and analytical skills, as well as the ability to learn in-house systems quickly and comfortable on all Windows suite software. Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels and work autonomously and to tight deadlines.

Ideally, you will possess a legal degree, or other relevant qualifications, and have previous experience of operating in a legal or compliance environment.

As a Legal Intern, you will provide timely and practical legal assistance and advice to support our objectives.  The ideal candidate will be part of our legal team involved in carrying out various administrative tasks and legal activities surrounding European laws and regulations on data privacy, GDPR compliance and data protection.  Other duties include management of projects, reporting and researching legal cases and reports.

The role would suit a law graduate ideally with previous experience.   The role involves an understanding of the underlying work of the company, an ability to work under pressure, a consistently high quality of work output.  The position required a flexible approach to dealing with a variety of urgent issues that arise on a daily basis and the ability to work on initiative is encouraged.  Being a team player is vital.

In the legal department, a new position has arisen to take on the expanding workload of the legal team. The role is a fantastic opportunity for a senior Lawyer with a specialist skill in commercial legal work in the data privacy services and regulatory compliance environment. 4. Cyber Security Advisor (1)

Seers Group is looking for a part-time dedicated advisor who provides advice and support to the Data Protection Officer in relation to all information governance for the UK. You will have the opportunity to get advice on developing information governance policies and procedures with a number of subject matter experts throughout the business. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and delivering cyber security and cyber risk assignments, including producing documentation and reports, and quality assuring the work produced by junior team members.
  • Working as a subject matter expert in your particular field to support a team, and/or managing a larger team in delivering engagements at scale.
  • Maintaining cybersecurity and risk knowledge and certifications, sharing this knowledge with junior team members.
  • Maintaining awareness of key business and industry trends, and understanding how they impact responses to cyber risk.

Qualifications:

We are looking for exceptional Managers who can provide our clients with trusted advice, rooted in a pragmatic understanding of their business situation and objectives, to help them navigate complex, risk-driven Cyber decisions. In addition, Cyber Security related qualification(s) such as CISSP, CISM, ISO Lead Auditor etc. would be a plus to the profile. Experience in risk & regulatory frameworks and standards such as NIST 800, ISO 27001, ISF SOGP, PCI-DSS etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full IT Security review across the environment - Server, Network, Application, Client Machines, Processes and Procedures of the concerned client.
  • Create a plan to proactively reduce the risk, likelihood and impact of any growing cyber threats or attack; To ensure effective policies are in place, embedded and aligned to the IT Security Group strategy - Review the existing IT Security Policy and monitor internal and external policy compliance
  • Identify vulnerabilities and threats and analyze risks against them
  • Recommend corrective actions and document results.
  • Ensure effective monitor of all operations and infrastructure, reviewing alerts and logs in order to ensure the integrity of the organization’s digital security footprint
  • Maintain all security tools and technology
  • Monitor regulation compliance (e.g. EU Privacy Law, GDPR)
